Armed with a B.Tech, M.Tech, and Ph.D. in Computer Science & Engineering, Dr. Verma began her career in academia, shaping young minds and contributing to technological advancement. However, her ambition extended beyond the classroom. Determined to create tangible impact, she stepped into the industry by founding NRR Power Solution Pvt. Ltd., a move that marked the beginning of her entrepreneurial journey. As Director from 2013 to 2022, she played a pivotal role in driving innovation in the renewable energy sector.
Today, Dr. Verma continues to lead from the front as the force behind two ventures—Awigi LLP and Kampus Katallyst Consulting. Through these organizations, she is actively fostering entrepreneurship, mentoring startups, and enabling innovation-driven growth across sectors. Her work reflects a deep commitment to building sustainable solutions and empowering the next generation of leaders.
Her contributions have not gone unnoticed. Over the years, Dr. Verma has been honored with several prestigious accolades, including the Best Women Entrepreneur Award (2018) and Best Project Award (2018). Her thought leadership gained wider recognition when she was featured in Silicon India Magazine in September 2019. Further strengthening her innovation credentials, she received a grant under the Government of India’s Seed Fund initiative through IIM Kashipur in October 2022.
A strong advocate of research-led innovation, Dr. Verma added another milestone to her journey with the publication of her patent, PiRe, in 2024. Her continued excellence earned her the Women Excellence Award (2025) and the Global Achievers of India Award – Certificate of Honour (2025). In 2026, she was recognized as the Young Entrepreneur Innovator of the Year, and her inspiring journey was highlighted in a feature titled “India’s 15 Inspiring Entrepreneurs to Look Out for in 2026,” published in Mid-Day on February 11.
