The journey of Nirvana World began with a simple yet profound question from Naveenta Ahuja’s daughter, Vrinda, who is on the autism spectrum: “Why am I not allowed to participate with other children in school?” This question ignited Naveenta’s mission to create an inclusive environment where neurodiverse and neurotypical individuals could perform together, breaking barriers and fostering a sense of belonging and acceptance.
The path to success has been fraught with challenges. Winning the trust of parents, bringing neurodiverse and neurotypical performers on stage together, and garnering societal support were significant hurdles. Yet, through unwavering determination, Nirvana World has created a nurturing and inclusive community.
Nirvana World’s impact is reflected in its numerous accolades, including the Humanitarian Award, the Spirit of Humanity Award, and felicitation by the British Council. Naveenta Ahuja has also been recognized with the Influential Women Award, underscoring her significant contributions to society.
Nirvana World aims to raise awareness among parents and society about the importance of inclusivity for neurodiverse individuals. The NGO strives to build confidence and happiness in every child and parent, ensuring that no one is left behind.
